Morning spent in Rathbarry village

The children from our Junior classroom really enjoyed their recent morning in Rathbarry village. Wellington boots and rain gear at the ready, they first met with Breda Hodnett who told them all about her life running the post office and shop in their local community. They also got a tour of the Cottage Museum and were amazed by the old style hot water bottle, fireplace, oven and fridge! After a visit to the Sprigging School they took a stroll through the local woods collecting a variety of leaves and enjoyed a picnic back at the shop and post office in the village. The weather even obliged to add to a super morning.
