Rathbarry N.S. Parents’ Association

Rathbarry N.S. ParentS’ Association 2022/2024 are now up and running

Rathbarry National School Parents’ Association consists of all Parents/Guardians of a child or children attending the school. We aim to work together with all the school stakeholders – the Principal and Staff, the Board of Management, the Students and the whole School Community - to build an effective partnership between home and school.

Rathbarry N.S. Parents’ Association has supported the school in many ways throughout the years. We have achieved many successful fundraisers including our recent Fashion Show Extravaganza and Tractor, Truck and Motorcycle Run in conjunction with Rathbarry and District Vintage Club; our Ceol sa Chaisleán evening in Castlefreke Castle; Clothing Collections, Table Quizes and Bingo nights. These events have allowed for the purchasing of teaching and learning resources such as PM readers, Aistear resources and board games along with the building of our new playscape, all weather Astro-Turf, leasing of our iPads, purchasing of sports equipment, Christmas activities, the subsidy towards swimming fees and bus fees and equipment for our polytunnel.

These supports have greatly enhanced the range of activities the school can offer each child. Rathbarry N.S. Parents’ Association meets on a regular basis and all meeting details are sent to all parents through email. Parents are encouraged to attend meetings so that your valuable input can be received. It is your opportunity to voice ideas and suggestions which may prove invaluable for the betterment of the Parents’ Association and the wider school experience for all students.

Our Parents’ Association is affiliated to the National Parents Council – Primary. If you are interested in finding out more about the work of the National Parents Council, their website address is www.npc.ie.
