Christmas Cheer
Christmas Cheer is well underway at Rathbarry National School.
Thank you to the Parents’ Association who arranged a Christmas treat this week for each child in our school. Thanks to Hazel for co-ordinating for the school.
And a special Thank You to our 1st – 6th class pupils who brought a huge amount of Christmas Cheer to the residents and staff of Clonakilty Community Hospital (Mount Carmel) recently.
They were a credit to their families and our school as they played some traditional tunes, performed some dances and sang some Christmas songs. It was lovely to meet Laura and Matthew’s grand-aunt Eileen along with neighbouring Ardfield man Patrick on our visit. Well done again to our pupils and thank you to Cora and Mary for the invite and surprise treats, Ms Hourihane for arranging and parent Eleanor for helping on the day. We are already planning our return in 2025.
