Blast Project
The children thoroughly enjoyed their session with local artist Julie O’Hea yesterday. They learned
about the process involved in making artist’s charcoal. It was hands on learning as they helped Julie
light the fire and cut up pieces of willow before placing them in kilns. They watched as the heat from
the fire transformed the willow into charcoal.
